Common Name: CoontailDescription: Plants submersed without roots. Leaves dark green in color and arranged in whorls on the stem. Coontail can be distinguished from milfoil by the forking of the leaves rather than the featherlike divisions. Spacing between leaf whorls is highly variable. Consequently, plants may be bushy or extremely long and sparse.
